Drishyam to be remade in Korean

Malayalam cinema made its mark throughout the years. There’s no doubt as to how it made its place, the unconventional content Mollywood produced so far provided the audience with an edge-of-the-seat experience. From Ishq Not a Love Story to Drishyam various Malayalam films were remade in other Indian languages.

Drishyam starring Mohan Lal and Meena is a thriller family drama. The film revolves around a nuclear family which gets into trouble. The eldest daughter gets tormented by a guy who happens to be the son of a government official. The protagonist attempts to save his family and succeeds in doing so.

Recently, during the Cannes film screening it has been declared that the South-Korean-based Indian Company Panorama and a few other co-production companies have bagged the opportunity to bankroll the film. The film was previously remade in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and various other languages and will be soon remade in Korean. The film’s cast is yet to be revealed. There is no information if Drishyam’s remake will take the form of a full-fledged film or if will it bag a straight OTT release as a thriller series.
