Drishyam Franchise has a separate fan base. Originally made in Malayalam by Jeethu Joseph with Mohanlal and Meena as the lead pair, the film series has seen massive success. It was remade into Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi and has seen success in those languages too. While Kamal was the protagonist in Tamil, Victory Venkatesh, V. Ravi Chandran, and Ajay Devgn were the leads for Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi respectively. Drishyam 1 was a super hit in all languages. Drishyam 2 was made in Malayalam and Telugu and was successful.
Now, in good news for the franchise’s fans, the makers have announced that there will be the third part as well. Producer of the original Drishyam, Anthony Perumbavur made this announcement at an awards ceremony. Trade experts too are confirming the same. Director Jeethu Joseph is said to have narrated a storyline to Mohanlal and the latter was impressed with it so much that he immediately green-lit the project.
In the second part, the ending was satisfactory and no cliffhanger ending was presented. On which point will the third part be made is the question that s currently bugging the cinephiles. The project might be released at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. Along with Mohanlal, all the key characters from the second part will come back in the Drishyam part 3, says the sources. There is every chance that Victory Venkatesh might remake the film in Telugu as well.
