Doja Cat is trying to see the positive despite losing close to 300,000 social media followers as a result of a since-deleted Threads spree that disparaged her following base. The 27-year-old “Need to Know” singer said in a message shared on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday (Aug. 16) that she felt like she had “defeated a large beast that’s been holding me down for so long” after seeing all of the people who had been following her unfollow. It seems as though I can get back in touch with the people who really count and who love me for who I am today rather than who I was yesterday.
