This will result in reducing the output of content, both in film and television, to ensure high quality is maintained. Fans can expect some cancellations of upcoming projects. All the previous Marvel shows, Echo, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, and films like The Marvel underperformed than expected, so now the studios will focus only on the strong franchise.

In comparison, Marvel Studios’ previous series ‘Secret Invasion’ and ‘She-Hulk’ cost $212 million and $225 million, respectively. All the shows except Moon Knight and Loki underperformed despite having a huge budget and marketing. Recently, Marvel canceled the She-Hulk, Secret Invasion and Echo sequel due to low ratings and views on Disney Plus Hotstar.

The studio is focusing on the much-anticipated Spiderman 4 and is reported that Jon Watts reportedly will not return to direct the new Spider-Man film. According to insider MTTSH, Jon Watts will not return to direct Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man 4’.

Watts directed Tom Holland’s last Spider-Man trilogy for the MCU. It was previously reported that the studio had begun looking for new directors to helm the project, including Drew Goddard.

‘Madame Web’ will be set in its own standalone universe outside Sony’s established Spider-Man universe and is scheduled to hit the theaters on  February 14.
