Dimple Kapadia labeled her co-star Nana Patekar as ‘obnoxious’ when she recalled the time when she used to work with Nana Patekar on her 66th Birthday.
Dimple Kapadia and Nana Patekar have worked together in movies like ‘Prahaar: The Final Attack’, ‘Kranitveer’ and ‘Angaar’ and have known each other since the 90s. They also shared the screen in “Welcome Back’. While the actors share a great bond with each other, Dimple had spoken about him in an interview and called him ‘Obnoxious’. ‘Obnoxious’ is used as a synonym for annoying and unpleasant people. When a person is annoying and unpleasant then the best word that can be used is ‘Obnoxious’.
The actress is well known for her outspoken nature. During the interview when she asked about Nana Patekar, she called him ‘Obnoxious’. Further, she asked whether she meant it in a good way or a bad way, and the actress took a few seconds to think and explained. She said she means it in a good and bad way. She lauded Patekar for his talent which is unmatched.
She reveals that when she sees talent like him, she can forgive seven murders for it. She said, “Meri jaan bhi lelo”(you can take my life for talent like him). As a person, Nana has been very nice to her as a good friend, she said. However, she confessed to seeing his terrible, dark side. She said that everyone has a dark side which is nicely and safely kept aside.
Having made her iconic debut with Raj Kapoor’s Bobby opposite Rishi Kapoor in 1973, Dimple Kapadia soon took a break from films after she got married to Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna. Later, she returned to cinema with another iconic film – Ramesh Sippy’s Saagar – featuring her alongside Kamal Haasan and Rishi Kapoor. Soon, she appeared in movies such as Jaanbaaz, Kaash and Zakhmi Aurat. During her latest stint in films, Dimple has worked in this year’s highest grosser – Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, and the web series ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo’.
