Mangalavaaram is released today. The film is directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 fame and has dark, thrilling elements. The makers of the film were confident about the movie and were sure the audience would love it.
However, given the story’s theme, the film received mixed talk but was more inclined towards a positive approach. The movie’s main lead, Payal Rajput, said that thanks to OTT shows, the audience is aware enough of specific genres to understand that Mangalavaaram draws its strength from story-telling.
The movie takes credit for its making, and Ajay Bhupathi once again proved he is an underrated filmmaker in the industry. While Ajaneesh Loknath’s sound mix and BGM stole the show now and then, the story lacked depth in the first hour, and the film needed more technical values to the narration, which disappointed the audience.
