In 2020 she entered the Tollywood industry with ‘Liger’.The film is an Indian sports action film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The movie was released in both Telugu and Hindi languages, but the film was an utter flop. She didn’t receive any Telugu movie offers later instead Telugu directors are interested in other Bollywood actresses like Jahnvi Kapoor and Kiara Advani.
It’s visible that she couldn’t make her career in the Tollywood industry after ‘Liger’. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda as the titular MMA fighter with a stammering problem alongside Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles, with American boxer Mike Tyson playing an extended cameo appearance. The movie was released theatrically on 25 August 2022.
Ananya received criticism for her poor acting skills in the movie. Netizens brutally trolled her for her performance and claimed that her acting skills are not up to the mark. Some netizens even mocked her acting skills. It seems that her acting career in the Tollywood industry ended even before it’s starting.
