Dhanush’s Sir Surpasses Master In Telugu States…

Actor Dhanush’s latest movie Sir was directed by popular Telugu director Venky Atluri and released on February 17. Samyuktha acted opposite actor Dhanush. This movie is produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, the film was simultaneously shot in both Tamil and Telugu languages. The film was released in Tamil as Vathi and in Telugu as Sir.

Actor Dhanush played the role of a teacher in the film, which was meant to convey the importance of education. Along with Dhanush, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani and Samuthirakani also played crucial roles in the film. Although the film received mixed reviews, it went on to do well at the box office. Accordingly, the film team had officially announced that the film collected Rs.51 crores worldwide within three days of its release.

Sir is getting a better response in Telugu than Tamil. Although the film had a grand release in Tamil, it collected only Rs 22 crore there. But the film, which was released in fewer theatres in Telugu states than in Tamil Nadu, is said to have collected more than Rs.21 crore there. Apart from this, reports suggest that the film has collected Rs. 14 crores in foreign countries alone.

It is reported that the film has collected Rs 16 crore in the first weekend, which is 4 times more than Dhanush’s previous films. Apart from that, actor Vijay’s Master movie got a total share of Rs.12 crores when it was released in Telugu and now Sir got that share amount in one week, so the producer gave a success party to the crew who were very excited.
