Demand in Bollywood for Megastar’s Godfather?

Megastar Chiranjeevi scored one of the disasters of his career with his recent flick Acharya. His next films are Godfather, Bhola Shankar, and Waltair Veerayya. Godfather is the official remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer which starred Mohanlal in the protagonist role. Even though it is a remake, Godfather is said to have garnered good demand in Bollywood. This has become a hot topic among trade experts as the film is said to be sold for a massive rate of Rs 42 Crores for the Hindi version. This includes Satellite, Theatrical, and digital rights too. Even then, it must be said that’s a very huge price for Chiru, who don’t have a bankable market in the Hindi belt.

According to sources, the Hindi distributors are confident that the presence of Salman in the film might pull the crowds. As it is known, Sallu plays a vital role in the movie, which appears in the climax in support of Megastar. While Nayan is acting alongside Chiru, young hero Satyadev will be seen in a key role too. Konidela Productions is making the movie in the direction of Mohan Raja, and SS Thaman is providing the tunes. The movie is slated to be released on October 5th of this year on the occasion of Dasara. But there is a dilemma whether the film will be hitting the screens by then as Chiranjeevi has become ultra-careful after the Acharya debacle.
