Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh starrer Dasara were released on March 30, 2023. Despite being highly anticipated in Telugu states, the movie did not perform well outside of those regions. The reasons for this could be numerous, including language barriers, limited promotion, regional appeal, competition, and quality issues.
One significant factor that may have contributed to the film’s lack of success outside Telugu-speaking regions is the language barrier. Movies that are not dubbed or subtitled in other languages can make it challenging for non-native speakers to understand the plot and dialogues, leading to a lack of engagement and interest in the movie.
Additionally, the movie’s theme and cultural references may not have been relatable or appealing to people from other parts of the country, resulting in lower interest levels.
Although the songs didn’t look catchy to the outsiders of Telugu states. Though the film grossed over 100 crores, the film utterly failed on the Pan India level.
Nani’s efforts went in vain as he promoted the film all over India, lack of high-quality promotions and Nani being a tier 2 hero also add the reasons for failure.
