Swapna Dutt was born to Tollywood ace producer C Ashwini Dutt, who has produced over 40 films in different languages. She graduated and holds an MBA degree from Ohio University, and she founded Vyjayanthi Movies.
The renowned filmmaker also co-produced with her father under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. She produces Yevade Subramanyam, which is critically and commercially a box office hit. The film marks the major hit in the Tollywood Film Industry.
She also produced the critically acclaimed Biographical film Mahanati, which won three national awards: Best Feature Film, Best Actress and Best Costume Design. Later, she produced Hanu Ragavapudi’s directorial Sita Ramam, which received generally positive reviews from critics who praised the direction, performances, screenplay and production values. The film also won Dada Saheb Phalke Best Film -Jury of the Year 2022.
She also produces numerous television serials and shows and is now producing Prabhas-Nag Ashwin’s most anticipated combination flick, Kalki 2898 A.D., with a budget of 600 crores. The film’s teaser was released at the prestigious San Diego Comiccon. The film’s ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachan, Kamal Hasan, Disha Patani and Dulqer Salmaan.
