Chandu Champion is shot long intensive shot in Kashmir
Following the success of Satyaprem Ki Katha, Bollywood young actor Kartik Aaryan commenced shooting for his next with Sajid Nadiadwala and director Kabir Khan for Chandu Champion.
The first schedule of the movie was shot in London and later the team headed to Kashmir for its second schedule. It’s said that Kartik shot some heavy action sequences in Kashmir schedule for which the actor also underwent a physical transformation to convincingly play the role of a sportsman.
Kartik Aaryan shoots for a historic war scene in this flick. The makers of the film undertook a daring endeavor, filming an incredible eight-minute-long single-shot war sequence at an altitude of 9000 feet above MSL.
There are a few of these single-take action sequences depicting a massive battle in 1965 for which the crew had already constructed a massive army camp set in the beautiful Aru valley in Jammu and Kashmir.
Preparation for this epic war sequence involved five days of intensive rehearsals with Kartik Aaryan, Vijay Raaz, and Bhuvan Arora ensuring that every detail was perfectly done and the team executed the shot flawlessly the next day.
Chandu Champion starring Kartik Aaryan as the male lead also boasts a star cast like Katrina Kaif and Shraddha Kapoor as female leads. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and is bankrolled by Nadiadwala and Grandson’s production house. The film is slated to release next summer June 14, 2023.
