Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Majili, is a romantic sports drama directed by Shiva Nirvana under the banner Sun Creations in the year 2019.
Majili is the fourth collaboration of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu after their films, Manam, Yem Maya Chesavey, and Auto Nagar Surya. This movie was made under a budget of 20 crores and collected over 70 crores gross. This movie also holds the record of the biggest opener in Naga Chaitanya’s career.
Majili is remade into Marathi by the Bollywood couple Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia under the title Ved. Many Bollywood directors tried to remake this movie but that didn’t happen. Ritesh took a wise decision and remade this movie into Marathi as Majili’s Hindi dubbed version was already available to the audience.
The movie Ved received a good response from the audience and made a total of 27 crores in its first week. Another advantage of this movie is Ritesh Deshmukh’s exceptional directional skills. Genelia also acted as a producer for this movie.
