Censor Board demands 5 cuts in Animal! Chip in for details

Animal is among the most-awaited films of 2023 directed by Arjun Reddy fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles.

Ahead of its release on December 1, the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed its verdict on the film giving it an A certification. It is reported that CBFC also demanded five cuts in Animal. As per the report, which is doing rounds on the internet, Ranbir and Rashmika’s ‘steamy’ scenes have been deleted. The report read, “Modified the intimate visuals of Vijay and Zoya by deleting the close-up shots at TCR 02:28:51 mins. approx.

The Censor Board directed makers to replace the word ‘Costume’ with ‘Vastra’ and the dialogue ‘Kabhi nahi’ and ‘Kya bol rahe ho aap.’ The word ‘Natak’ has been muted and the sub-titles ‘You change pads four times a month’ has been changed. The action thriller film is scheduled to hit theaters on 1st December in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film is already breaking records with advance booking collection in the US and other countries. The film’s theatrical rights were bought by Jio Cinema for a whopping  Rs 155 crores, reveals trade analysts.
