Bollywood beauty Janhvi Kapoor‘s next survival thriller ‘Mili‘ teaser is out now and it is slated to hit the screens on 4th of November. ‘Mili’ is the remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Helen’ directed by the same director Mathukutty Xavier. It was the debut film for Xavier and he won a National award for a debut director. Anna Ben, who played the title role was a debutant too.
But scenario with Janhvi’s ‘Mili’ is quite different. Janhvi has to take clash against ‘Double XL’ and ‘Phone Bhoot’. This unplanned release can result in poor audience for the film tremendously. Probably the movie could have done a better, if it were to release directly on OTT.
Janhvi’s previous movie ‘Good Luck Jerry’ released directly on OTT and it was trending there for quite some time and garnered decent views. It was released on Disney+Hotstar and the digital rights of ‘Mili’ are with Netflix. Revealing the name of the OTT platform may not be a very good strategy as it would affect the excitement of the fans to go and watch the movie in theatres.
