Though he had success as a writer, BVS Ravi couldn’t emulate the same as a director. Both his films, Wanted and Jawan failed miserably at the box office. Since then, he didn’t try direction though he was seen in a cameo role in Gopichand Malineni’s Krack. Along with acting, the writer is busy with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s talk show for AHA, Unstoppable. Reportedly, this is the show that has given the opportunity to Ravi to direct Balayya himself.
According to sources, Balayya was impressed with Ravi while working with him in Unstoppable. While the shoot was going on, Ravi is said to have pitched a storyline to Balayya, which struck a chord with the latter immediately. Showing interest in the project, Balayya asked Ravi to develop the script so that they could work together on the film. Right now, NBK is busy with Gopichand Malineni’s project. Once it is completed, he will move on to Anil Ravipudi’s film, and then there will be a flick with Boyapati again. Ravi might get an opportunity after all these projects are completed. This may take 2 years at the least until Ravi has to wait.
