Shakuntalam is one of the upcoming Telugu films starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role. Gunasekhar is the film’s director. Billed to be a mythological drama, based on the epic Shakuntalam, the film is billed to be a pan-India project. The film is in the news now that the film’s budget is crossing the initial plan.
The reports say that the film’s final budget is close to Rs. 65 Crores. The makers planned to finish the film on a budget of 50 Crore rupees. The film is a period entertainer and it involves a lot of VFX work. Gunasekhar is working hard on generating the best output for the film. The film reportedly went under reshoot mode as well.
The film was supposed to get a grand release on the 4th of November but it has been postponed. On the other hand, Samantha is coming up with Yashoda on 11th November.
