BTS to release a book narrating their personal story in July

K-pop phenomenon BTS is all set to release a book for their 10 year anniversary. The book is said to chronicle their history and their journey to the top.

The book, titled “Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record of BTS” will be released on July 9 by the group’s agency, Big Hit Music in South Korea. The book is authored by journalist Myeongseok Kang along with the members.

The announcement was made by Flatiron books, their U.S publisher. Initially when an unnamed book was reported to be published by Flatiron, Swifties speculated the book was about Taylor Swift. TS fans placed numerous pre-orders for the book in hopes that it would be about their fave idol.

However, the mystery is now solved. The book is being published by K-pop powerhouse, BTS. Even if Swifties hadn’t pre-ordered the book, the book still would have been in massive demand due to BTS’s large fanbase called the ARMY.  ARMYS have been buzzing with excitement ever since the book was announced as they will get a never before seen narrative of BTS history from the members’ point of view.

The English translation of the book was written by Anton Hur, along with Clare Richards and Slin Jung. The U.S edition will consist of 544 pages with exclusive photographs and will have a first printing one million copies, according to Flatiron.

The date, July 9, is significant for both the band and their fanbase, as ARMY which stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth was founded on the day. The group will mark its year in the music industry June 13, 2023. The release of the book, will therefore, coincide with the milestone.
