RM is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is the leader of the South Korean boy band BTS.
In 2018, RM was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea, along with the other members of BTS, for his contributions to spreading Korean culture.
Recently, RM got appointed as the public relations ambassador of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of National Defense where the rapper will be representing the MDA (Ministry of National Defense) Agency for KIA (Killed in Action) Recovery & Identification which recognizes and gouges the remains of war heroes.
A ceremony was held on June 1 to honor the BTS member RM with the title. He adorned a black suit and tie outfit with a white formal shirt.
He expressed his interest to promote his country’s art and culture. He wished for harmony and healing and further said that he felt a great sense of pride and responsibility for being appointed as the ambassador.
