The first season of Bigg Boss OTT was a massive success which imbibed high levels of excitement in the fans for the next part. Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 is just 24 hours away from it’s beginning. As if that wasn’t great enough, the team revealed to us the theme they’ve chosen for this time which will bring a big smile on everyone’s faces. In this world of fast fashion brands increasing every day, ‘use-and-throw’ items, Bigg Boss chose to use recycled items to create the set! How thoughtful is that?
Every corner of the living space, be it the dining space, the bedrooms or the living room, the production designer Vanita Garud Kumar and art director-filmmaker Omung Kumar have done a phenomenal job at bringing together artistic creativity and earth-friendly materials. The Bigg Boss eye shows that plastic is not limited to just packaging. We all fathom a DIY kitchen decor using upcycled items, don’t we? Egg cartons on walls are BB’s way to enhance the appearance of their enormous kitchen space. Everyday kitchen utilities are used as innovative art pieces. Every daily-use item that you thought was single-use, the designers have joined hands and outsmarted themselves.
The bedroom is more on the funkier, abstract side. Bigg Boss, with a thoughtful move like this, has proven to the entire entertainment and fashion industry that expensive is not equal to fancy and upcycling doesn’t mean it looks unprofessional. Sustainability should be the new cool and fast fashion should be looked down upon. It’s high time we recognize the value of artefacts not by how much they cost, but how less they harm the environment while fulfilling our desire of a decorative space. The season will obviously be hosted by the OG – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
