Bellamkonda Srinivas Bollywood debut with Chatrapathi remake date finalized

Bellamkonda Srinivas, an upcoming actor in Tollywood, is all set to debut with ‘Chatrapathi’ movie in Bollywood directed by VV Vinayak. Chatrapathi is a blockbuster Telugu movie directed by SS Rajamouli  starring Prabhas and Shriya Saran as leads. Its first trailer was launched in Mumbai on Tuesday. In Tollywood, Chatrapathi was a huge blockbuster back in 2005 where the story revolves around the Displaced Sri Lankans in a Vizag port who are ruled by a local rowdy. This is the story of Chatrapati Sivaji who overcomes this oppression and how he reunites with his long-lost mother and brother.

VV Vinayak has changed it as a Pakistan refugee trying to fit in despite local gang leaders’ oppression and rising as everyone’s head. his special element being action, he heightened the comparison of fight sequels. Yesterday at the trailer launch both director and hero tried to address the fact of changing it into the India and Pakistan conflict because they’re trying to make the movie a pan-Indian film and Bollywood has more audience comparatively. Bellamkonda seems to gave his all out for this highly commercial action movie as its budget and scale are quite high.

Talking about the movie during the trailer launch yesterday, Bellamkonda has said they don’t see it as a Hindi remake of a Telugu movie as its made in today’s generation and pitched for high scale, they’re considering it as a new movie. He said he’s all excited about his debut in Hindi movies from director VV Vinayak as he got trained under him pre-debut. He also said he’s overwhelmed by Bollywood’s welcoming audience and thinks he couldn’t have had a better launch.

when asked about ‘Is it a trend to enter into Bollywood?’, he addressed the issue by saying ‘There have been many films getting released across the country as the audience are watching the content despite it being a regional film. all I could do is give my best, work hard, try to succeed even if I fall, and wish I could succeed. He wants to do pan-India films as the audience are appreciating all cultures and the country’s diversity. he’s happy with the outcome of the movie as it reached out convincingly and felt overwhelmed with the welcome he got from the audience.

Other than Bellamkonda, this action drama starring  Nushrratt Bharuccha, Freddy Daruwala, and Rajendra Gupta, Bhagya shree,  among others. The background score is composed by Ravi Basrur, while the songs are by Tanishk Bagchi and are produced under Pen India Limited. The film is releasing in theatres on May 12.
