Balagam, directed by comedian Venu under the banner of Dil Raju Productions and starring Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyan Ram in the lead roles, is needless to say how much of a sensation it has created. If this movie is being streamed on OTT platforms, it is one step to have a house full in the theater, but it is another step to watch the movie in public screenings like during fairs in villages. Apart from becoming a blockbuster in Telugu states, it was screened at international film festivals and won many international awards.

Venu, who was known as a comedian till then, surprised everyone by getting a blockbuster like Balagam in his first attempt of direction and became the most wanted director in the industry. Let’s hope that more films like Balagam will come from Venu in the future.
