Shalini Pandey made her acting debut with the Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and released in 2017 alongside Vijay Devarakonda, which was a super hit at the time. The movie was also remade in Hindi by the same director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, with a different title and cast. The remake of Arjunreddy in Hindi was titled Kabir Singh. Kiara Advani played the role of Preethi, and Shahid Kapoor played the role of Kabir.
In a recent interview, when Shalini Pandey was asked if she thought she could have performed better in Preethi’s role in Kabir Singh, the actress responded, “I don’t know. I have never thought of it this way. I took that film as a completely different film. Also, I believe that there are different energies and vibes between two people, and like chemistry, it is different with different people. I don’t know if I should have been there or if I would have portrayed it.”
Shalini also acknowledged the effort that Kiara Advani and Shahid Kapoor put into the film Kabir Singh Shalini said that the story might be the same. Still, the chemistry was different, and they enjoyed their screen chemistry.
It is reported that Shalini Pandey will be next seen in a Hindi film titled Maharaja, directed by Junaid Khan.
