Anushka Sharma, a Bollywood actress who will make her Cannes Film Festival debut, was sighted at the Mumbai airport on Sunday. The actor was on his way to Bengaluru for RCB’s IPL match against Gujarat Titans before heading to the French Riviera to recognise women in film alongside Hollywood actress Kate Winslet. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chhillar, Esha Gupta, Urvashi Rautela, and Mrunal Thakur are among the Indian actresses who have already walked the red carpet of the prestigious festival.
Social media users shared videos of Anushka from the airport. The actor is seen walking through the airport in the videos. Her outfit consisted of black track trousers and a white crop top. She completed her appearance with a black cap and sunglasses. She avoided eye contact with the photographers and proceeded through the airport while giving them a thumbs up.
In a tweet, French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain announced Anushka’s debut at Cannes. He had posted a photo with cricketer Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. He wrote in the caption, “A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma. I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s trip to #CannesFilmFestival.”
