Sweetheart of Tollywood, Anushka Shetty is gearing up for promotions of her upcoming film, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty which is all set to release on September 7. Now the actress surprised the Telugu audience with her debut in Mollywood.
Jayasurya, the lead actor in the film welcomed the Anushka Shetty on board officially with a motion poster of the actress’s portrayal in the film. The role of the actress is kept under wraps but according to speculations, Anushka will be seen playing as antagonist in the role of Kalliyankattu Neeli, the ghost.
Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer, an upcoming fantasy horror drama released its trailer on 31 August on the occasion of the lead actor’s birthday. The trailer has sent waves of excitement through the film industry and the anticipation about the film’s plot among the audience is hyped.
Kathanar is based on the tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a Kerala priest who was believed to possess supernatural powers. The trailer showcases Jayasurya as a prisoner who church authorities believe to possess some evil powers that will destroy their church. Meanwhile, the villagers seem to be suffering from a disease.
The glimpse gives a spooky vibe as people with unusual faces appear on the screen with the background score adding the eeriness to the visuals. With enigmatic individuals featuring prominently on the screen, the teaser and trailer intensify the sense of uneasiness with its gripping narration.
Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer is the first part of the storyline with extraordinary VFX effects making it a truly global cinematic experience. National Award-winning filmmaker Rojin Thomas helmed this film. The film is slated to release in 2024.
