Absconds or kick-outs are becoming a negative trend in today’s film industry. Off late, multiple cases of replacements and dropouts are coming up. From Avika Gor to Pooja Hegde to Shah Rukh Khan, and now Priyanka Chopra. Chopra walked out of Bollywood and prioritized Hollywood because her tolerance for the discrimination had squared down to zero. As a result, she entered the global superstar title with the debut Quantico. Recently, she was dominating the front page for Citadel. After overflowing success on that project, its sequel, Citadel 2 is in the making. However, Priyanka is still picking a few Bollywood movies here and there, Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara being one of them.
Unfortunately, she absconded from the project to give her undivided attention to Citadel 2. The movie crew was left puzzled, unaware of how to move forward with the arrangements. That’s when Farhan Akhtar approached Anushka Sharma for to step in as Priyanka’s replacement.
Anushka Sharma is now a mom and a family-person with personal priorities topping her list. The schedule plotted by Farhan wasn’t fitting well with her calendar, so she refused the replacement offer. Akhtar is currently working on multiple projects. Directing Don 3 with Ranveer and acting in Champion, all while managing Jee Le Zara. Because of this unexpected fallout, the latter has come to a downfall momentarily. Once Farhan Akhtar has concluded his acting and direction, he’s sure to channel all his energy in finding the right cast for Jee Le Zara.
