Amir Khan, the man who gave more than a two-third of his life to Indian cinema in more ways than we can imagine, is reuniting with Rajkumar Santoshi after 3 decades like a long-lost twin. Rajkumar Santoshi is a Bollywood director. Amir Khan and Santoshi shared their journeys for the movie Andaz Apna Apna in 1994 with Salman Khan and Amir Khan in the lead. That movie was so highly appreciated by the audience that it’s aired on TV even today and people helplessly go back to it to have a good laugh, because it’s one of the best.
Reportedly, Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi have been discussing a subject for a while now and things have finally fallen into place. Aamir has loved what’s developed by Santoshi and has been sitting with him to work on all the aspects over the last few months.
Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi are all set to bring their entertainer during the Christmas 2024 weekend. The prep work is going on in full swing and the film is all ready to roll out in January. Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi have inked a two-film deal. While Aamir has committed himself to act in the first of the two films, the second one will go on floors later in 2025. Aamir was taken aback by both the subjects and has happily associated himself with the director known for cults like Ghayal, Ghatak, Damini, Khakhee, Bhagat Singh among others.
Andaz Apna Apna stands out for its phenomenal comic delivery with Amir Khan, Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal and Juhi Chawla. In the 90s, the movie managed to pocket 8.65 crore sat the box office.
Amir Khan, although last seen in theatres for Laal Singh Chadha, made headlines yesterday for singing the world famous Tere Hawale from that movie at the reunion. Salman Khan just wound up the second season of Bigg Boss OTT and is set to come back with Bigg Boss 17 while his movie Tiger 3 makes its way into the theatres in November.
