Akshay Kumar expressed his gratitude for the rescue of workmen trapped in a Himalayan tunnel on his Twitter (X). He penned an emotional note and said  ‘This is the new India.’

As all 41 laborers who had been imprisoned in a Himalayan tunnel for 17 days are safely rescued, Akshay Kumar expresses his immense emotions. Take a moment to observe.

Today, all laborers were safely rescued. Dramatic scenes played out when they exited on stretchers from the Silkyara-Barkot tunnel entrance. The 400-hour rescue mission experienced difficulties and delays. The men were hauled through an escape conduit on Tuesday night, with a professional rat-hole mining team hand excavating the final stretch after a motorized drill failed. Akshay Kumar resorted to social media to share his joy and pride in the rescue team.

On X (previously Twitter), Akshay Kumar expressed his delight at the rescue, writing, “Am completely overwhelmed with happiness and relief to learn of the rescue of 41 trapped men.” Every member of the rescue squad deserves a standing ovation. ‘Kamaal kar diya,’ says the speaker. This is a new India, and we are all quite proud of it. “Hail to India.”

Riteish Deshmukh congratulated, saying, “Bravo!!! Salute to our rescue crew, which has worked relentlessly day and night to free the workers who have been trapped for the past 17 days. Families’ and the nation’s prayers are being answered. #UttarakhandTunnelRescue #UttarkashiRescue Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
