It is widely known that for the upcoming Pongal season two major films of Telugu Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy are gearing up for theatrical release. Meanwhile, in Kollywood Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu and Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu are all set up for a theatrical release.
Reportedly, both films will be released on the same date in Tamil. Mostly both films will be hitting the screens on January 12th.
On the other hand, Varisu is releasing for Pongal in Telugu also. Touted as a family entertainer, Varisu has Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Dil Raju is the film producer.
However, Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth, hasn’t locked its Telugu release date yet. But the latest buzz is that the movie’s Telugu version will be released by the noted distributor Radhakrishna Entertainments and IVY Productions in AP and TS regions. However, the release date is not yet locked and is expected to get the announcement soon.
Bankrolled by Boney Kapoor, Thunivu has Manju Warrior, Samuthirakani and others in keyroles.
