Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ movie releases have created havoc in public. The movie is receiving terrific appreciation from the audience for its marvelous direction, engaging storyline, and magical performances by the actors, who all captivated the audience’s hearts to the fullest. It will be shocking to know that Rashmika was not Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s first choice for the female lead character, Geetanjali. Rashmika joined the movie when this prominent actress from Bollywood said no to the film. It was Parineeti Chopra who Sandeep Vanga selected for his character.
Parineeti Chopra was supposed to play the role of Geetanjali in Animal. In 2021, when Sandeep first announced the film, Parineeti’s name was attached to it. The actress walked out of the movie as she was committed to Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh. According to a report, “She has to get into prep immediately for the shoot (of Chamkila), and unfortunately, due to this development, she won’t be able to shoot for Animal as there is a major overlap of dates between the two films.” there were also some talks about how the director did not find her suitable for the role after her character test. Later, in an interview, the actress said, “These things happen; it is part and parcel of life. We must make such choices every day. You make the choice that is right for you.”
Sandeep Reddy Vanga says that Rashmika’s character, Geetanjali, is the only character who understands and supports the hero more than his parents and is a very different and essential character throughout the film.
