Adavi Sesh starrer Major bagged a huge success both in Bollywood and Tollywood. (Read the review here) The film is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unni Krishnan, who had a heroic death in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
Helmed by Shashi Kiran Thikka, the film was released worldwide on June 3 and became the highest grosser of Adivi Sesh’s career.
The film is streaming on popular OTT Netflix from July 3 and is creating records in OTT as well. The OTT audience are also raving about this film and it marked the movie to be trending on top 1 and 2 positions.
While the Hindi version of ‘Major’ is trending at the top 1, the Telugu version is at the second position.
Apart from all this, the interesting news is that Major is creating history in India and Pakistan. Surprisingly, Major occupied number one among the most-watched movies on Netflix in Pakistan as well. It is noteworthy that this film is also in the top 1 in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Produced by Sony Pictures Films in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A Plus Ace Movies, the film stars Sai Manjrekar and Sobhita Dhulipala as heroines, while Prakash Raj and Revathi played other key roles. Sricharan Pakala has given the music.
