On Occasion of Rebel Star Prabhas birthday, Adipurush team has released a brand new poster today along with the release date as January 12th, 2023. But speculations are rife that Adipurush may not stick to this date and may be out of Sankranthi race.
The reasons for this are many. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s long-awaited 107th film Veera Simha Reddy is announced to be released on Sankranthi. The Gopichand Malineni directional was initially supposed to hit the screens for Dussehra. But, it was deferred indefinitely due to shooting delays and pending post-production activities. But now this film is going to be released for Sankranthi.
Meanwhile, we know that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, directed by Bobby, is also planned to release for Sankranthi. But it is heard that as Chiru’s market fell down in recent times, most of the distributors are interested in Veerasimha Reddy and most of the theaters are being blocked for this movie rather than Chiranjeevi’s Walteir Veerayya, mainly in the U.S.
So, trade circles are hoping that only one among Waltair Veerayya and NBK107 will hit the screens for Sankranthi. So, it remains to be seen if Chiru and Balakrishna lock horns or if one of them backs out from the race.
But if no one gets out of the race, then Sankranti will be jam-packed with Adipurush, Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya and Varasudu. However, as inside sources are indicating that NBK’s film is going to hold more theaters, leaving less for Adipurush, there are high chances that Adipurush makers may prepone or postpone their release date from the Sankranthi race.
