Basking in the glory of The Kerala Story, Adah Sharma has bagged a role in the upcoming thriller movie, ‘The Game of Girgit’.
She joins Shreyas Talpade who plays the lead role alongside her in the movie. The film is being directed by Vishal Pandya and produced by Gandhar Films and Studio Pvt Ltd. The actress will be seen playing a cop chasing an app developer who is played by Talpade.
The movie is loosely based on the infamous ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ game that gained popularity among the teenagers. The game rose to prominence in 2016 leading to several suicides and self-harm cases of teenagers worldwide. Over the course of 2017, numerous cases of child suicide and self harm affiliated with the game were reported across India. The movie follows Shreyas Talpade as an app developer who lures in vulnerable kids through an app and Adah, a cop who is striving to uncover the case.
The actress has earlier played the role of cop in the film, Commando 2. Speaking on the film, the Kshanam actress shared, “I’ve played a cop before in Commando. Bhavana Reddy got very popular. Gayatri Bhargav is a very different cop. It’s fun to play a cop but differently this time.”
Shreyas Talpade has said that he found the plot of the film extremely interesting and that it intrigued him to associate himself with the film. The movie also carries a strong message that should be heard by kids and youngsters of the nation. The first look poster featuring, Shreyas and Adah was released on Thursday. The poster conveys a gripping visual and it seems like the movie is all set to enthrall the viewers.
