Adah Sharma, an actor who most recently starred in the contentious movie The Kerala Story, revealed photos of herself taken on the set that showed her with bruises on her face, elbows, and knees. She disclosed that the movie was filmed in bitterly frigid conditions. Adah also revealed that being dehydrated for 40 hours while filming was the cause of her split lips.
Adah posted many self-portraits on Instagram with the caption, “Sunkissed, After and Before from #TheKeralaStory. The damaged knees and chila hua elbows, however, were all so worth it that we decided not to use it. In the final image, the hair is tightly plaited with safety pins and a small amount of coconut oil.
The performer revealed that she had to tumble to the ground during a vital sequence in the movie as her character flees from ISIS. She was given a mattress to practise on, but she didn’t utilise it.
Sudipto Sen’s film The Kerala Story, which received mixed reviews from critics and viewers alike, was directed. While some criticised the movie as propaganda, others applauded it for its accurate portrayal of the situation. The plot of the film centres on the lives of three women who are persuaded to convert to Islam and then forced to join the terrorist group ISIS.
