Rajkummar Rao, the Guns & Gulaabs actor is celebrating 6 years of his movie Newton, released back on September 22nd, 2017. When the movie came out, Rajkummar Rao was at the beginning of the step towards the mansion of success and for his film to earn 80 crores+ at a time was a moment worth marking on the calendar.
In an interview about Newton, Rajkummar Rao said, “When I look back at the incredible journey of ‘Newton’, and see how it still resonates with audiences today, it’s a deeply humbling experience and motivates me to play more critically acclaimed roles. Newton is about a rookie government clerk is dispatched to a remote village in the jungles of central India, where he tries to run a free and fair election despite an apathetic security team and the surrounding threat of communist rebels who are ready to attack. With a meagre budget of 9 crores, the movie earned more than triple as revenue and more importantly, it earned Rajkummar Rao the fame he’s enjoying today.
After Guns & Gulaabs, he’s ready to showcase his skills in Stree 2 beside Shraddha Kapoor in August 2024.
