It’s been two years since Silambarasan TR Maanaadu hit screens. The film, which was released in November 2021, was a huge blockbuster theatrically. Maanaadu reveals a man and a police officer who getget trapped in a time loop on the day of the chief minister’s public conference. Despite attempting to escape, they must live the same day repeatedly.
Maanaadu has become one film that flipped Simbu’s career after a weak phase in his filmography. The actor took to his social media handle and wrote a heartfelt note sharing, “Two years of endless love and celebrations! Wouldn’t mind getting in this time loop one more time! Thanks to all the people involved in creating this masterpiece!#2YearsOfMaanaadu (sic).”

The cast of Maanaadu, which features Silambarasan TR and SJ Suryah as the main leads, also includes Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, Y Gee Mahendra, and Anjena Kirti. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music.
