Mahesh Babu’s film Nijam completes 20 years on this day, This film remains as classic for Mahesh’s performance in the film and Masterclass work of Director Teja. Since then Mahesh mentioned about many moments about the making of this classic. Director Teja while the release of “1 Nenokkadine” in 2014, spoke about the spectacular performance of Mahesh by recollecting his memories working with Mahesh.
Nijam was an average film at box-office but the film is still a classic, Teja who has a firm grip on the pulses of mass made sure that he injected a few scenes that hit hard and make an impression on the mindset of viewers. However, Teja could not sustain the flow of narration in the second half. You could see a few Teja brand of applause-worthy scenes as well. Screenplay of the scenes before interval is very effective and it builds the tempo of the film gradually.
Nijam is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language action film written, directed and produced by Teja on Chitram Movies banner. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Rakshita, Gopichand, and Raasi, with music was composed by R. P. Patnaik. Babu and Rameshwari won the Nandi Awards in Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories respectively. It was remade in Odia as Arjuna and in Bangladesh as Top Leader.
