Former One Direction band member and popular British singer Zayn Malik is all set to drop his latest album after being MIA for quite some time. He said that he felt over exposed and needed the time off. The ‘Pillow Talk’ singer made a rare appearance on a popular Spotify podcast recently and opened about his daughter Khai Hadid Malik who he co-parents with his ex-girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid, much to the surprise of his fans.
The two dated for 6 years and welcomed their daughter in September 2020, and unfortunately ended their relationship a year later. The usually private singer spoke about fatherhood and the relationship he shares with baby Khai.
“Since I’ve had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is trying to be a good example to her. That’s why I’m even doing this interview, you know?” divulged the singer while talking to host Alex Cooper, He said that managing his anxiety and doing things despite the feeling will hopefully show his daughter that she can too.
“I used to get a lot of anxiety around having a conversation like this. And I want her to be able to look at me and be like, My dad’s doing this,” he went on. “I keep being told I’m telling dad jokes. And I’m leaning into it. I’m just like, It’s OK. It’s cool,” laughed the adorable father of the soon to be three year old. The doting dad also added that his daughter has brought back the color into his life!
