Yash Real Remuneration and Role In Ramayana

In movies, villains often captivate audiences more than the heroes, like Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Khilji in Padmaavat, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Bringing a villain to life on screen requires immense talent and skill.

Indian cinema boasts many legendary actors who excelled at portraying villains. Amrish Puri became iconic as Mogambo in Mr. India, while Amjad Khan left an indelible mark as Gabbar Singh in Sholay. Pran, known as the “Villain of the Millennium,” portrayed numerous villainous characters with brilliance.

Antagonist in Indian Cinema

Despite popular assumptions, the highest-paid villain in India isn’t necessarily from movies like Padmaavat or Adipurush. Instead, reports indicate that Nitesh Tiwari has cast Yash to play Ravana in his upcoming movie Ramayana, alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita.

Yash’s staggering fee for the role, reportedly between Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore, surpasses previous records. He has chosen to balance his time between industries, even with commitments to the third part of KGF.

Yash Not In Ramayana

Yash’s payment for Ramayana eclipses Kamal Haasan’s reported fee of Rs 25 crore for his role in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. Prior to that, Vijay Sethupathi earned Rs 21 crore for his part in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

Meanwhile, The sources close to the actor laughed it off when asked by saying, “Who pays that kind of money to any actor nowadays? These are all fan fantasies and marketing mischief. By Spreading such alarming remunerative rumors, great damage is being done to the entertainment inudstry.”

The source also further confirmed about the Raavan role portrayed by Yash. They shared, ” Firstly, Raavan is not the ‘villain’. There are so many dimensions to his personality. Secondly, it is unlikely of Yash to do the role of Raavan in Ramayan. He decided against it after consulting his fan clubs. The fans don’t wnat him to play Raavan. They want him as Rama,” concluded the source.

In addition to Ramayana, Yash is also involved in Prashanth Neel‘s KGF 3, set to commence filming in 2025. He will also appear in the movie Toxic, slated for release in the same year.
