Will Poulter says male privilege has protected me.

Will Pouter, known for his roles in” Guardian Of The Galaxy Vol 3, Midsommar, and The Maze Runner, recently spoke out about the emphasis on physical appearance in Hollywood. In a recent interview with GQ, Poulter discussed the backhanded compliment behind a glow-up transformation and the objectification that come with fame.

Poulter quoted ” Why are we spending so much time discussing people’s physical appearance?”.” Especially in the case of women. but whether you are male or female, why is that focus so much?”He was also candid about his not conventionally attractive” appearance. ”I am very comfortable and secure in the knowledge that I’m not conventionally attractive as I’ve always had remarks about being usual,” he added, crediting his male privilege” for the outcome.

He further quotes, ”Male privilege has protected me from that kind of objectification and the idea that up until now really have been able to go about my job and not have my physical appearance be something matter- that privilege hasn’t been affordable by female counterparts.

Poulter’s comments shed light on the reflection of the importance of physical appearance and gender inequality in Hollywood. It is good to see young actors like Will Poulter talking about things that are very relevant right now.
