Being from a star family, Akhil Akkineni has yet to taste the proper box-office success. His previous flick Most Eligible Bachelor was another debacle just like his earlier films. His debut film which was named after his name “Akhil” was a disaster at the box office. Hello was a decent flick, but couldn’t impress the audience and Mr.Majnu was a complete disaster.
To escape his failure streak, Akhil Akkineni teamed up with one of the most successful directors Surender Reddy for Agent. He pinned all his hopes on this project and the first look and other posters for the makers seem very promising.
However, Akhil did not announce his next project to this date and seems to have decided his next project. In an interview with a famous news channel, he expressed his love for one of the Bollywood blockbusters “Yeh Jawani Yeh Diwani”. Ranbeer’s performance and Deepika’s innocence along with the strong story made this film a classic hit in Bollywood.
Now, the remake of this movie is on cards for Akhil. Official information regarding this is yet to be announced and most probably Annapurna Studios will bankroll this project.
