Tovino Tomos has done it again! Starring as Minnar Murali, the young star plays Anoop, the cape-less inspirational hero in Jude Antony Joseph’s latest Malayalam blockbuster 2018. Based on the devastating floods in Kerala in 2018 that claimed hundreds of lives, the film details the devastation and how all aspects of it affected the people of Kerala.
2018 will be one of the biggest Malayalam movie blockbusters of 2023, bringing audiences back to cinemas. Starring Tovino Tomos, Asif Ali, Kunchako Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Lal, 2018 continues to do well with over $40 billion in worldwide box office revenue.
Tovino Thomas said that by releasing the movie in other languages, they are trying to overcome language barriers so that people from other states don’t have to read subtitles to understand the movie. Tovino Thomas also said that by doing the same, the makers can ensure that nothing is lost in translation and the majority of the people can enjoy the movie in their own languages in the coming few days.
