For the unversed, Alia Bhatt is Ranbir Kapoor’s wife and Kareena Kapoor is Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin, so long story short, they’re sister-in-laws, and we all know the type of dramas between SILs that are portrayed in Indian TV serials and channels, but Alia and Kareena are busting those stereotypes, getting along better than most blood sisters do.
In the past, they have worked in Udta Punjab together. However, they didn’t speak or meet each other as the movie’s characters in the script. Theirs were two different stories combined together, portraying the increasing cases of substance abuse in Punjab.
There has been much speculation in recent days about a possible collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt. These rumours arose after Alia shared stunning photos with her sister-in-law and joked that they should be cast in a film together. Kareena has now finally addressed the news.
During a recent media appearance, Kareena was asked about the viral photos of her and Alia, as well as whether a film collaboration was in the works. In her response, the actress stated that she would be willing to work with Alia if a director presented them with a compelling script. “I know there are so many great directors out there, whoever has a great script. I think nowadays it’s more about the content and script, so I would say anyone who has a great script.”
Kareena Kapoor’s latest work was Jaane Jaan on Netflix whereas Alia Bhatt’s was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani in theatres.
