Social media has buzzed since Thalapathy Vijay’s first look and poster of the film, ‘GOAT’, was unveiled. The film, which was tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 68’, has now been titled GOAT aka ‘The Greatest ‘of All Time’.
The GOAT makers released many posters from the film at the start of the year. They hinted that Vijay will be seen in dual avatars, young and old. While the film is being produced, director Venkat Prabhu said that the film will be VFX heavy.
Vijay In Dual Role
While the film is speculated to revolve around time travel, a new report suggests that Vijay will be seen playing the protagonist and antagonist in GOAT. “There are reports that G.O.A.T is a sci-fi period project, and Vijay plays the hero and the villain in the film. We don’t know yet which characters take the antagonist’s side and which of these actors take the protagonist’s side in the movie,” the source said.
Trisha Special Appearance
Further, it is also reported that actor Trisha, who has worked with Vijay in Leo, Ghilli, and Thirupachi, will be making a cameo appearance in GOAT. “She has shot for the film at a studio in the city for a few days. That would include a song as well. The entire team of G.O.A.T will be seen in combination with Trisha in the scene,” the source revealed.
Further, GOAT will also feature a dance number in which both Vijay and Prabhudheva will shake a leg. “They have danced together in Pokkiri’s intro song, Pokkiri Pongal, for a bit.
The makers have yet to reveal a release date for GOAT. GOAT is said to be Vijay’s last but one film before he plunges into full-time politics, while few say, considering the pace of the film, it can be Thalapathy68 and not 69 gearing up for its release.
