Srinu Vaitla rejected Allari Naresh; here’s what we know

Actor Allari Naresh’s latest police thriller titled Ugram, written and directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, hit the screens to a decent response at the box office. Upon its theatrical release on May 5 all over the world, the movie was reviewed as an average thriller that could have been much better.

Now speculations are rife that to give a gap to serious films, Allari Naresh has been listening to comedy scripts now. As part of it, he approached Srinu Vaitla who is known for his hilarious movies. However, surprisingly, it is heard that the director hasn’t shown his interest in joining hands with him as per reports. With his experience in working with top stars, Srinu Vaitla is said to be thinking that waiting for them and doing a movie is better than joining hands with others. Meanwhile, Srinu Vaitla’s highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster movie, Dhee was shelved abruptly after a few days of shooting.

In Contrast, Srinu Vaitla hasn’t been active since his last film Amar Akbar Anthony starring Ravi Teja in 2018. The film failed miserably even with the star cast and a big budget. Director hasn’t seen successive after Dookudu and should have turned in his thoughts. Coming back to Ugram, actress Mirnaa Menon was cast as the female lead opposite Naresh, marking her Telugu debut. Vijay Kanakamedala and the producers, along with Naresh have collaborated for the second time after the successful ‘Naandhi,’ hoping to recreate the magic. Currently, he’s playing a role in Nagarjuna’s upcoming untitled film.
