In Tollywood, the re-release tendency is still prevalent. Adavi Ramudu, starring Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and originally released in 1977, is the most recent blockbuster movie of Telugu star heroes to have a re-release. On May 28, 2023, the film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao will receive a triumphant re-release in the USA. The screening is currently accepting reservations. The movie will also be broadcast in 4K quality. Unfortunately, Telugu states will not see a second release of the film. In this successful movie made under the Satya Chitra label, K.V. Mahadevan wrote the soundtrack for the movie.
The leading actors in the film were N. T. Rama Rao as Ramu, Jaya Prada as Padma, Jayasudha as Chilakamma, Nagabhushanam as Dharmaraju, Satyanarayana as Nagaraju, Gummadi as Raja Shekaram, Jaggayya, Raja Babu as Bheemanna and Sridhar as Jaggu.
The Storyline of the film is “Dharma Raju and his son Nagaraju operate an illicit forest produce transportation and smuggling ring. Ramu opposes him and rallies the locals to fight back. He is loved by Padma, a forest officer’s daughter. Chilakamma, a native woman, also considers Ramu to be a brother. To send Ramu out of the forest, Dharma Raju enlists the aid of one Jaggu. Ramu is actually a forest officer on a covert assignment to look into a matter of forest affairs, as the second half of the movie reveals. All criminals are ultimately apprehended as a result of the story.”
