Shriya Pilgaonkar Addresses Adoption Rumours and Talks Career Highlights

Shriya Pilgaonkar, daughter of renowned actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, recently spoke out against rumors circulating that she was adopted. In an interview with India Today, Shriya dismissed these rumors as “absolutely untrue,” asserting that she shouldn’t have to provide her birth certificate to refute baseless claims.

Reflecting on the incident, Shriya revealed that she stumbled upon a “random article” alleging her adoption. She clarified that while such rumors were amusing, they held no truth. Shriya’s focus remains on her work, rather than responding to unfounded gossip.

Having made her mark in various film industries, Shriya Pilgaonkar entered Bollywood with the 2016 Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Fan.” Prior to this, she debuted in the 2013 Marathi film “Ekulti Ek,” alongside her father.
