Maverick director Shankar and Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh announced a collaboration for their next project last year. Shankar is currently busy shooting for Ram Charan’s Game Changer. Indian 2 has wrapped up with its schedule and is under post-production which will be released by next year. Game Changer might have a release by the end of this year or early next year.
There has been a buzz past weeks about Shankar wanting to direct Vijay for Vijay69 and the actor thought the plot would be interesting. After Game Changer, Shankar would start the shooting with Ranveer Singh. Initially, It was said that Ranveer Singh starring project will be a remake of Aparichitudu but now the script got sidelined as the maker is planning to develop a story on Velpari.
The initial plan to start filming early this year was canceled due to the Indian 2 film completion. Director Karthik Subbaraj has also confirmed about Shankar doing a movie based n Velpari and now the buzz is Ranveer Singh and the director duo may go for the Velpari script as it’s pre-production underway.
