Samantha confirms taking a break:
As the actress wrapped up shooting her second venture with Raj and Dk, who she also worked with previously on “The Family Man 2”, she posted a sweet picture with the two confirming the much speculated break, writing ‘break doesn’t seem like a bad thing’. Samantha went on to thank Raj and Dk for helping her fight every battle and “never giving up” on her. Samantha continued by saying that they have become the family she didn’t know she needed. Samantha concluded by saying her role in Citadel was “the role of a lifetime”.
The cute picture shows Samantha with her directors Raj and Dk along with Sita Menon, captioned “And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me.. I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud.. Thank you for the role of a lifetime.. i.e. until you write me the next.”
Raj and Dk adorably re-shared this post and wrote back, “Definitely the toughest and the most challenging role you’ve done. Incredibly proud of you and the amazing work you did! Can’t wait for the world to see. Here’s to our super cool collab.”
This came after the quick selfie Samantha posted on Thursday morning to her story captioned “13th of July will always be a special special day. And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia” the actress was also spotted at the Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International airport post wrapping her shoot in Mumbai wearing a casual jeans and black tee look as she stepped into her car.
This confirmation has left fans and friends very emotional. Her hair stylist and close friend Rohit Bhatkar took to his Instagram and penned a heartfelt note for her, and shared a few unseen pictures of their precious moments together. Captioning the post,
“We saw it all from sunny days to rainy days ,From tears of joy and laughter to tears of pain and agony. From being confident to being vulnerable , From our highs to our lows and then back up What a beautiful ride it has been with you .Certainly one to remember. As you now go on a healing journey I wish you more Strength and Power to you. And that you unfold certain dimensions of your existence which you never tapped on up until now. Upwards and onwards. Big hug and lots of love to you Sam! Remember that ‘you are that wild flower which grew even after the forest fire’ Know that we will all be waiting for you to come back even stronger than ever. Citadel actress Samantha posted the sweet message full of emotion from her adoring team member to her Instagram story and wrote, “My heart right now (teary-eyed emojis).”

The actress is said to be taking six months to a year off to heal from her physically taxing year from the release of Shaakuntalam, which was an unfortunate flop at the box-office to shooting for her upcoming projects Kushi, a rom-com with Vijay Devarkonda directed by Shiva Nirvana, who previously worked with her on Majili and Citadel India, the Indian rendition of the global spy series starring Priyanka Chopra.
On her personal health front, the actress has been battling with Myositis and is reportedly flying to the US for treatment during her break. The actress was diagnosed last year and has shown great courage and vulnerability when it comes to her struggles and fight against the auto-immune condition. We hope she has an amazing and healing journey!
