Sanjay Leela Bhansali is teaming up with Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt for a new Love and War film. An official announcement of Love & War was made in January this year.
Bhansali Productions shared the official announcement of Love & War on January 24, 2024. The statement read, “We bring you Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic saga – Love & War. See you at the movies. Christmas 2025.”
Love & War Pre-production work begins…
According to sources, the art and production team of Love & War will create miniature replicas of the prime sets. Once Sanjay Leela Bhansali approves, the set construction will begin after the monsoon. It will eventually lay the foundation for a November 2024 shoot.
A source has informed us that Ranbir will begin shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana from March’s second week and once he wraps up the mythological saga. “The lead actors will have a straight six-month shoot, from November to 2025 summer, for the film to make its Christmas 2025 release,” a source revealed.
Love & War Storyline
“Love And War ” is a love triangle with war in its backdrop. Ranbir’s performance in Animal blew SLB’s mind away. While Love And War is an action love story on the face of it, the inter-character dynamic holds vital importance. At the same time, Alia and Vicky’s part has its share of challenges in terms of performance.
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s role will have a twisted shade of grey character. It warrants the presence of someone who is not just a great actor but also a superstar. It has elements of heroism, but deep within lies the psychic undertones.
Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be associating for the second time after introducing the actor 17 years back with Saawariya. Alia Bhatt will be collaborating after Gangubhai with the director, who is also said to have brought Ranbir and Bhansali collaboration, asking the two mature individuals to put all the terms and conditions on the face during the meeting.
